Maha Khan Philips: The Great Author

  Maha Khan Philips was born in Karachi Pakistan. Her childhood started with great success. She was interested in writing many adventures stories and novels. Maha went to London for further studies at Oxford University and currently she is a journalist. She got married in London and started her happy life with her caring husband and her lovely son.

She also started writing novels such as “Beautiful from this Angle.” One of her mysterious, adventures and famous book is read by the students of grade six in Beaconhouse School System. The title of the novel is “Mystery of the Aagnee Ruby.” When asked about the genre of the novel, she answered, “I love adventures and I am interested in reading mysterious and horror books.”
 

Maha Khan Philips is a kind, polite woman with a lot of confidence and excellent vocabulary. She has great writing skills. We really admire her hard work and we are expecting more exciting books from her.     

We think that Maha should start writing poetry because she has an excellent mind which can be expressed beautifully in her poetry. We wish her best of luck for her next book.

The Great Adventures of Maha

   We thank Allah who has blessed Pakistan with many talented personalities. One of them is Maha Khan Philips who is the author of top ten novels.  Maha Khan was born in Karachi in 1976. She moved to London in 1994 where she works as a financial journalist.

   She was interested in writing stories from her childhood. She wrote 10 novels and one of them is Mystery of the Aagnee Ruby which she dedicated to her nephews Saif and Taimur. Students of grade six in Beaconhouse School System are reading this book as their core reader. The first novel she had written was ‘Beautiful from this Angle’. When asked about her way of building characters she said, “I ask questions from myself like what does I wear? What does it eat? etc . and I get characters in my mind.” We were very impressed by her answer and we have started using the same way to built characters.

The Interesting Maha Khan Philips

   Maha Khan Philips is the great author of The Mystery of the Aagnee Ruby. She was born in Karachi Pakistan She now leads a married life with her husband and son in London. Maha Khan Philips is also a financial journalist.

Her hobby is to write books. Her first book ‘Beautiful from this Angle’ is for adults. Most of her books are moral-based and mysterious as she quoted, “A good book should be informative and full of suspense and horror.” She considers it an honor that her book, ‘The Mystery of the Aagnee Ruby’ is being taught to the students of grade six in Beaconhouse School System. She wrote the novel for her nephews, Saif and Taimur, as a birthday present who are also the main characters of the book.  Her hardworking nature is the reason of her success. Ms. Maha Khan Philips has a really positive thinking about Pakistan and wants it to become a peaceful country. She would also like her son to be an author but her son’s interest lies in Mathematics and Science.

Dream Come True

   Maha Khan Philips is known as a successful writer as well as an active journalist. She is living in London with her husband and son.   This creative writer was born in Karachi, Pakistan with lots of dreams and vivid imagination. Ms. Maha says ,“My childhood was filled with fun and adventurous trips. I specially remember the time I visited Naran.” As Naran’s trip inspired her a lot, she chose Naran as the main setting of her novel ‘The Mystery of the Aagnee Ruby.’ She grew up reading Enid Blyton’s stories and Enid Blyton is an inspiration to her. During the interview, Ms. Maha also mentioned one of her favorite Enid Blyton’s novel ‘The Secret Seven.’ She relates, “I was quite a daydreamer.”  She got her education from Oxford University in London and then, she started her career as a journalist.  To us, she is an extraordinary and talented writer as she wrote a short novel at the age of 8. She has already written novels above the count of 10. One of them, ‘The Mystery of the the Aagnee Ruby’, is the core reader of Beaconhouse School System grade six students for which she feels honored and is planning to write a sequel. According to Maha, she wants her son to follow in her footsteps and become a writer but he is more interested in mathematics and science.     

 When asked about her homeland, she says, “I am proud to be a Pakistan and I hope for good conditions of Pakistan.”
